AGROSUP
Based in Dijon, Agrosup is a higher education establishment. It depends from the French Ministry of Agriculture. The 2 main domains of competencies are:
1) Agronomic and Agro-food sciences and techniques, economy and rural sociology. This part of AGROSUP is delivering specific master degrees and doctoral degrees and others degrees in partnership with the University of Burgundy.
It provides trainings for engineers with 2 different specialisations, agriculture and agro food. It also provides training in agronomy, environment, animal production, wine production, for the engineers, economy, sociology and management.
2) Education, training and communication. That part of AGROSUP is composed of several units, Education and Training Engineering, DFOAD located in Clermont Ferrand which is in charge of distance learning for secondary and technical education, Educagri, a publishing house, CNERTA, the unit in charge of software management for schools, Internet access, Web and videoconference services, video servers, …
It provides trainings for bachelor degrees and master degrees, together with the University, in training and communication sciences, engineering on professionalization, apprenticeship and management of information systems.
The AGROSUP (Dijon, FR) is one of the 2 Agricultural Higher Education Establishments which are in charge of the support of the French Agricultural Educational System: more than 250 legal entities, 600 sites like schools, training centres, resource centres, in the public sector and almost the same number of sites in the privates ones, more than 150 000 students, 100 000 adults in training per year and about 50 000 teachers, trainers, staff members. The AGROSUP is in charge of the training of the future Head of schools (Principals), the counsellors, managers and staff members. The other Agricultural Higher Education Establishment, ENFA – Toulouse, is in charge of the future teachers and trainers in Agricultural education.
AGROSUP / EDUTER is among the founder of the Apprentica Cluster, a group of public institutions, private non profit organisations or commercial enterprises acting in the Educational sector.
The AGROSUP has a staff consisting of 58 professors, teachers and researchers, 66 engineers and managers, certified professors and professors with aggregation and 256 technicians and assistants.
AGROSUP is involved in several regional programme (ESF regional call applied to adults training), national programme, in Education and Training Engineering for instance (as support of the National Agricultural Education and Training System), in bi-lateral collaborations (in Africa, Asia, South America), in European projects: in Erasmus, Tempus and Leonardo and Grundtvig frameworks.
